Where I am now, each person who has an ID from this country has their religion printed on it. If your not one of the three popular religions in this country then you will have a problem. Really sounds like you're doing something unique and fantastic, and I was curious what you'd be posting here, as you went along...this is surely something we take for granted here, I can imagine it's quite obvious where you are that this is simply not the case everywhere. Surely makes one realize how much power and control is built into religion, and what changes could occur on a global scale if something happened to make us all reconsider our beliefs.
