A spiritually strong person that personally displays humility would never let themselves be controlled by the darkness of the world.

Very few people can see past the energy of the ego. Thus, the basics is crucial to apply.

There are two ways a person can teach about the ego, the scriptural context, which is not religious, only if a person associates the context with religious dogma. Or the scientific context. View the article http://clearlyenlight.com/the-ego—narcissiam-of-cause-and-effect

Humility is a touchy subject. It paints a stereotypical view of what 'enlightened' individuals should be; which in itself is a contradiction of transcending the ego. I find this article to be too heavily based on religious teachings/texts which arouses suspicions they are merely there to advocate the population become meek and easily controlled by the rulers.

Fact of the matter is whether one is arrogant, humble, etc. does not matter. As long as the seeker can see past this energy then that is needed. Once you see past what these states of mind are, then that itself is transcending the ego. In the end there is no need to subscribe to dogma.

So, you "Perceive" the person and their ego as being separate? Interesting. My ego prompts me to suggest that you have not transcended the understanding of "duality" as yet?
